MUNSTER, Ind. (WGN) — Dozens of NIPSCO customers packed a town hall Saturday, urging lawmakers to step in as their energy bills continue to rise.
Many residents say the costs have climbed so high that they can no longer keep up, leaving them feeling forced to protest the recent rate hikes in recent weeks.
“I have pretty decent bills, $200 and some, but last month it doubled,” Valparaiso resident Maria Virginia Menendez said. “It doubled to $469 from $200-something.”
