FISHERS, Ind. — A man who authorities said had been evading law enforcement for the past three years in Egypt has been extradited to Indiana for his alleged role in a shooting that left one person injured in Fishers.
FBI Indianapolis announced the arrest of Jacfar Abdi of Noblesville, who was located in Cairo, Egypt, by special agents with FBI Indianapolis. Abdi was wanted in connection with a shooting that injured another man three years ago.
‘Give me that s***’: Shooting stemmed from robbery
Officers with the Fishers Police Department were dispatched on Nov. 19, 2023, to an area hospital to meet with a shooting victim. Police soon determined that the shooting took place on Rhineland Pass in The District at Saxony Apartments, where an armed robbery reportedly occurred.
As the investigation into the case unfolded, detectives found evidence that the incident involved two vehicles and multiple individuals around 4 p.m. that same day. A combination of witness testimony and video evidence eventually led investigators to identify Abdi as the primary suspect responsible for shooting the victim during the robbery…
