The company was founded by owner Andrew Caplinger, his wife, Courtney, and his father, Nick Caplinger. Its business model emphasizes community and customer education, relying on a staff with more than 150 years of combined seafood experience to provide culinary guidance. Caplinger said daily deliveries ensure customers receive the freshest seafood available.
Caplinger developed his industry knowledge by working alongside his father, who brought decades of experience to the venture. Before opening Caplinger’s Fresh Catch, Caplinger operated the 56th Street Fish Market and established seafood programs for O’Malia’s and Mr. D’s grocery stores.
