TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — An Indianapolis man was charged with battery after police say he allegedly attacked a woman early Tuesday morning at a public park in Terre Haute.
According to a release from the Terre Haute Police Department, around 6 a.m. on Feb. 10, officers were called to the 200 block of South 3rd Street after a woman reported she had been attacked in Fairbanks Park.
Police say the woman suffered lacerations to her stomach and arm, but was able to fight off her attacker and ran to South 3rd Street to find help. First responders with the Terre Haute Fire Department treated the woman at the scene before taking her to a local hospital for further medical care…
