Loose Horses Turn Whitestown Road Into Wild West as Zionsville Cops Step In

Yesterday afternoon traffic on Whitestown Road near S. 800 E took an unexpected turn when two loose horses wandered into the roadway, briefly snarling traffic and prompting calls about a road hazard. Zionsville officers responded, located the animals and kept the area safe while reuniting the pair with their owners. No injuries were reported, and traffic resumed once the horses were removed from the road.

Officers Track Down Runaway Horses, Get Them Home Safe

According to the Zionsville Police Department, officers were dispatched to a reported road hazard near the intersection of S. 800 E and Whitestown Road after two subjects were spotted in the roadway and creating a traffic concern. Once officers arrived, they located the animals and reunited them with their owners after securing the scene.

“Large and extremely fast,” the department wrote on Zionsville Police Department when describing the mysterious “subjects,” which turned out to be horses. The update noted that there were no crashes or injuries connected to the incident…
