Suspect identified after siblings shot along I-65 in Tennessee

GILES COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — The suspect in a deadly shooting along Interstate 65 in Giles County, Tennessee, has been identified after he was taken into custody in Franklin County Monday.

The Giles County Sheriff’s Department reported deputies responded to a crash with injuries on I-65 on Sunday at approximately 11:30 p.m., but when deputies arrived at the scene, they determined the crash happened after the driver had been shot.

The driver — identified as 26-year-old Sfenson Simeus of Lake Worth, Florida — was headed southbound on I-65 when he was shot from another vehicle, officials said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His sister, a 23-year-old passenger from Plainfield, Indiana, also sustained a gunshot wound and is expected to survive…
