One Dead, Six Injured in Head-On Collision on State Road 9 in Greenfield

A tragic head-on collision occurred Saturday afternoon on State Road 9 in Greenfield, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. Authorities from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and Greenfield Police responded around 1:40 p.m. to the crash site in the 3700 block of N. State Road 9. As reported by Fox59, the accident involved a 2019 Ford Fusion, driven by 32-year-old Cody Clark from Greenfield, and a 2013 Cadillac Escalade occupied by a local family of six. The Ford Fusion was said to have crossed into the opposite lane, causing the devastating collision.

Clark, the driver of the Fusion, was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. He was the solo occupant of the vehicle and was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. According to details gathered by WISH-TV, the driver of the Cadillac, 45-year-old Adam Hunt, was airlifted with life-threatening injuries to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital-Indianapolis.
