DHS: Migrant driver at fault for deadly Indiana crash

INDIANAPOLIS (NewsNation) — One person was killed in an Indiana crash in which the Department of Homeland Security is blaming a migrant in the U.S. illegally.

The preliminary investigation found three vehicles were reportedly involved, according to NewsNation local affiliate WXIN/WTTV.

According to a news release from the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, a Freightliner semi-truck with a trailer was reportedly traveling eastbound on U.S. 36 when it allegedly ran the red light at the intersection. The truck reportedly struck a Chevrolet truck travelling northbound.
