IMPD investigates 2 overnight shootings

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis police are investigating after a pair of Monday morning shootings sent two people to the hospital.

Sutherland Avenue shooting

Less than a minute after midnight, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 3200 block of Sutherland Avenue. That’s a residential area near East 30th Street and Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue along Fall Creek on the city’s near north side.

IMPD says the victim, a male, was stable when transported to a hospital. A police report obtained by News 8 shows that a female suspect was arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated assault, residential entry, and resisting law enforcement.

Police did not publicly identify the suspect, and a booking photo was not immediately available.

Pleasant Run Parkway shooting

Just after 6:45 a.m., IMPD Southeast District officers found a woman shot at an apartment complex in the 4500 block of East Pleasant Run Parkway North Drive. That’s a residential area off of East Washington Street, just west of Thomas Car Howe High School…
