Man charged with threatening to shoot Marion County judge

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man is charged with threatening to shoot a Marion County judge. That has again heightened concern for judge safety, just a month after a Tippecanoe County judge and his wife were shot in their home.

Court records say that Jordan Williams made the threat while talking to his girlfriend on the phone Feb. 9 while she was an inmate at the Marion County Adult Detention Center. The woman was sentenced the next day to a year in prison for battery with injury to a public safety officer.

During the phone call, his girlfriend allegedly told Williams that the judge was probably going to send her to prison. That’s when he allegedly threatened the judge…
