Hanjung America, a subsidiary of South Korea-based Hanjung NCS, will establish its first U.S.-based manufacturing facility in Indiana to support the state’s growing energy storage supply chain. The new site will initially create more than 300 new high-wage jobs in Huntington.

Hanjung America will establish its first U.S. factory in Huntington to manufacture Energy Storage Systems (ESS), constructing and equipping a new facility on 133 acres at the Riverfork West Industrial Park. The company, which is a tier one supplier of high-performance ESS components for Samsung SDI, will leverage the new sites to meet growing demand for its solutions, supplying cooling systems and enhanced direct injection fire extinguishers for container type ESS to support the supply chain of Stellantis and Samsung SDI’s StarPlus Energy electric vehicle battery manufacturing operations in Kokomo and the broader renewable energy ecosystem across Indiana and the surrounding region…
