Second juvenile charged with murder following fatal robbery, shooting at Indy gas station

INDIANAPOLIS — A 17-year-old is arrested and charged as an adult with murder, attempted murder and robbery following a deadly shooting at a gas station last year on Indy’s northeast side.

According to court records, multiple juveniles agreed to meet at the Mobile gas station near 42nd and Mitthoefer for a shoe sale. That quickly erupted into a gun battle with multiple people firing shots and two teens now being charged with murder.

The shooting took place on a Sunday night last March. Tywon Jones, 17, was shot and died after running from the scene. A second 17-year-old was shot and critically wounded…
