Restaurant news: Westfield gets big-name steakhouse, 14-year pub closes

After a busy January, Indianapolis’ dining scene was relatively quiet last month in terms of openings and closings. That said, the month still brought a handful of new concepts, including a steakhouse with a notable name in Westfield and a high-end Italian spot in Fountain Square. And while we didn’t pick up any local Indy spots that closed their doors in February, this list features a handful of closings that have slipped by so far in 2026.

Restaurants that opened in February

Five Bucks Sushi and Boba

883 Massachusetts Ave., (317) 384-1167, opened Feb. 6

Affordability is the goal at the aptly named Five Bucks Sushi and Boba, which serves $5 fruit and milk teas. The casual pan-Asian eatery on the north end of Mass Ave also offers poke ($17 to $18), sushi rolls and sashimi ($10 to $18) along with a handful of appetizers like dumplings, egg rolls and tempura, all of which cost $5.

H Steakhouse

207 Mill St., Westfield, (317) 804-2292, hsteakhouse.com, opened Feb. 7

It’s been a busy couple of years for restaurateur Henri Najem, who sold his award-winning Flamme Burger concept in October 2024, opened FIRE by Henri Najem inside the Hotel Indy last September and sold the acclaimed Savor in Carmel earlier this year. Now, Najem is bringing his flame-grilled flare to Westfield with H Steakhouse, which serves a variety of wood-fired surf and turf ($40 to $150) alongside pasta ($26 to $30) and traditional steakhouse sides.

Thai Prime Carmel

1200 S. Rangeline Road, Carmel, (317) 936-9445, opened Feb. 11
