INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man has been arrested after being accused of dealing large amounts of fentanyl and meth across the city.
The case marks the third time in less than a week that IMPD has seized multiple pounds of fentanyl. Police put the suspect, 36-year-old Jewel Dotson, under surveillance last month before arresting him on Wednesday.
IMPD SWAT assisted detectives with serving search warrants at all four locations. In all, police found 2 pounds of fentanyl/heroin, 4 pounds of meth and eight firearms.
“This highlights how important it is to get these large amounts of drugs off the streets to save lives. That’s the goal here: saving lives,” said IMPD Officer Tommy Thompson.
According to court records, after being arrested this week, Dotson confessed, “You got me. I’m taking accountability for everything. All I can do is be a man. Everything is mine, you got me.”…
