Indianapolis police officer arrested on battery charge

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A seven-year member of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department was arrested Friday on a felony battery charge following an investigation into an off-duty fight.

Officer Taylor Jones, 43, surrendered to the department’s violent crimes unit on Friday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Online court records on Friday night did not show a case yet filed for Jones.
