Gunfire Erupts On East 82nd Street, Leaves One Critically Hurt In Castleton

A night trip yesterday down East 82nd Street turned into a crime scene after a shooting left one person in critical condition on Indianapolis’ northeast side, police said.

IMPD officers were dispatched just before 9 p.m. to the 5900 block of East 82nd Street in the Castleton neighborhood, where they found a person suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, according to WTHR.
