INDIANAPOLIS — A South Bend man was found guilty on Wednesday after he was charged with murdering a man on the east side of Indianapolis in September 2024.
James Grossnickle was charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon following the shooting death of 40-year-old Craig Jacobs on Sept. 4, 2024. After a three-day jury trial, Grossnickle was convicted of felony murder.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office says Grossnickle will face a bench trial his unlawful possession charge prior to his sentencing hearing, which is tentatively scheduled for Friday, April 10 at 2 p.m…
