Toyota Expands Its Indiana Operations

Toyota is doubling down on its commitment to Southern Indiana with a massive $200 million investment at its Princeton facility. That means even more growth, more opportunity, and more confidence in the future right here in our backyard.

What The Investment Means For Production

The investment will boost production of the popular Toyota Grand Highlander at the plant in Princeton. It’ll now be built alongside the Sienna in the East Plant, while still continuing production with the Lexus TX in the West Plant.

Celebrating Major Milestones In Princeton

This announcement comes at a pretty special time, too. Toyota Indiana is celebrating 30 years since breaking ground, and they’re coming off a huge 2025. Last year alone, the plant hit two incredible milestones: producing its 8 millionth vehicle and rolling out its 1 millionth hybrid.

The Princeton facility is massive, covering 1,160 acres with 4.5 million square feet of operations. From stamping and welding to painting and final assembly, it’s all happening right there. And in 2025 alone, more than 427,000 vehicles were produced.

The Impact On Jobs And The Local Economy

But what really matters to families here in Southern Indiana is the impact. Toyota Indiana employs over 7,300 people and has invested more than $8 billion into the region. On top of that, they’ve given back more than $55 million to the community…
