New report highlights eviction crisis in Marion County, Indiana
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A new report shows an alarming rate of eviction filings for renters across Marion County: more than 116,000 filings between 2021 and 2025.
More than 20,000 happened in 2024 alone.
The Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana report tracked eviction filings, highlighting which townships and neighborhoods are seeing the highest rate across Marion County. Executive Director Amy Nelson said Tuesday, “The information that we shared in this report just showed that it hasn’t eased, and this is obviously a housing instability issue for our community.”…
