Docs: Indy woman charged with intimidation after reportedly firing shot during road rage incident

CARMEL, Ind. — An Indianapolis woman was taken into custody after she allegedly fired a shot at a driver during a reported road rage incident in Carmel on Tuesday afternoon.

According to court documents filed in Hamilton County on Wednesday, Tiffany Miller was arrested on the following charges:

  • One count of intimidation, where the defendant draws or uses a deadly weapon, a Level 5 felony
  • One count of criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, a Level 6 felony.

At around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, officials with the Carmel Police Department stated that officers responded to a report of a road rage incident involving a firearm near 96th Street and Haverstick Road.

According to a post on social media from the department, a caller reported that during a confrontation, a driver fired a shot and left the area. When officers arrived, they reportedly located a 9mm shell casing in the intersection and “immediately began working to identify the vehicle involved.”

Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle a short time later. During the investigation, a firearm was reportedly recovered and Miller was taken into custody. The post read that no injuries were reported in relation to the incident…
