Indiana police step up patrols this month to curb speeding, phones

Indiana police agencies are increasing patrols to address speeding and distracted driving as part of the annual Safer Roads Campaign.

The initiative, which runs through April 13, 2026, is a collaboration between the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute, Indiana State Police and local law enforcement agencies, according to a community announcement. It is supported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
