4 sentenced after drug organization found to be operating out of business on Indy’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS — Four individuals, three of whom are Indiana residents, were sentenced in Indianapolis federal court after they were found to be involved in a drug trafficking organization in a business on the east side of Indianapolis.

According to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Indiana, the four individuals were responsible for distributing at least 55 kilograms of cocaine throughout the Central Indiana area. The sentences included:

Kristopher Chavez, a 38-year-old Gary resident

  • One count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Sentenced to eight years and 11 months in federal prison, with five years of supervised release

Eric Kendrick, a 45-year-old Fishers resident

  • One count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine
  • Sentenced to 11 years and eight months in federal prison, with five years of supervised release

Delray Bragg, a 42-year-old Richmond resident

  • One count of possession with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine
  • Sentenced to five years and 11 months in federal prison, with three years of supervised release

Joaquin A. Ramirez-Molina, a 41-year-old Phoenix resident

  • One count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substances
  • Sentenced to four years and nine months in federal prison, with three years of supervised release.

The release said law enforcement first identified the drug trafficking organization operating out of a business in the 5600 block of Massachusetts Avenue in 2023.
