Severe storms cause road closures, downed trees and power lines in Kentucky and Indiana

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Flash flooding caused by strong storms moving through Louisville and southern Indiana have caused road closures across the area.

A portion of I-264 East had closed Monday night due to flooding. Heavy rains caused a car to become stalled in standing water in the roadway near the 11.3 mile marker. Lanes were closed for more than an hour. Traffic has since resumed in the area.
