INDIANAPOLIS — While many who live in Meridian-Kessler are pushing for some kind of material change in the wake of Sunday’s deadly shooting at a short-term rental property, city leaders say there aren’t a whole lot of options, but they’re working to find the best one.
The family of 38-year-old Brittany Members told FOX59/CBS4 she was trying to protect the teens at her daughter’s prom after-party when she was shot and killed by an uninvited gunman who asked to be let inside. Two other people were hurt in the shower of bullets that followed near 40th St. and Park Avenue.
Because the party took place at a short-term rental property that the owner failed to register with the city, some are now calling for a crackdown – including the Meridian-Kessler Neighborhood Association (MKNA)…
