It was another exciting week in surfing, with San Clemente’s Griffin Colapinto claiming his third victory at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal, the San Onofre Surf Club putting on a strong showing at the latest contest, and the Coast Film & Music Festival wrapping up another celebration of surfing and the outdoors in Laguna Beach.
There must be something in the water in Portugal, because the Colapinto brothers have been on an absolute tear. Just weeks after Crosby claimed victory at the EDP Ericeira Pro, earning valuable Challenger Series points toward requalifying for the Championship Tour, Griffin Colapinto followed suit with a victory of his own at the MEO Rip Curl Pro Portugal on Friday, Oct. 23.
