Budget airline launches new flights from LAX, John Wayne

An affordable airline that services Southern California is adding more flights in and out of LAX and John Wayne Airport.

On Tuesday, Breeze Airways announced it would be adding three new seasonal flights from LAX and one new seasonal flight from Orange County.

The new Los Angeles destinations will be:

  • Madison, Wisconsin: Wednesdays and Saturdays — starting May 22, from $99 one way
  • Akron-Canton, Ohio: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays — starting May 23, from $119 one way
  • Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina: Mondays and Fridays — starting May 24, from $139 one way

The new Orange County service will offer flights to:

  • Tampa, Florida: Mondays and Fridays — starting May 31, from $139 one way

All flights are seasonal for the summer, the airline said, and those introductory rates are only available when booking a new reservation by Jan. 29. Taxes and additional fees are included.

Breeze Airways puts pause on Orange County to Orlando flight

Breeze began flying in March 2021 and has quickly expanded, offering dozens of nonstop flights from airports around the country. The budget airline began serving LAX in November 2022 and John Wayne Airport in February 2023.
