City of Chino Announces New 1.3 Acre State-of-the-Art Park

CHINO- In a press release, Mayor Eunice Ulloa and the Chino City Council, alongside local dignitaries and leaders, gathered for a ceremony for the much-anticipated Chino Rancho Park. The ceremony was not only marked by the spirit of community but also highlighted by the contribution of $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.

Scheduled for completion in the Summer of 2024, Chino Rancho Park aims to become a cherished addition to the city’s park system, offering a range of amenities for residents to play, exercise, and relish outdoor activities.

Mayor Ulloa expressed the significance of the new park, stating, “With today’s groundbreaking of Chino Rancho Park, we are fulfilling a promise to bring a beautiful, inclusive, and state-of-the-art public park to the residents of Chino.”

Upon completion, Chino Rancho Park, spanning 1.3 acres at the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Phillips Boulevard, will serve as an inviting entry point to the city’s northern border. The park is set to feature two pickleball courts, an inclusive playground, outdoor fitness stations, walking trails, a picnic shelter, outdoor fitness equipment, a restroom, open space, a walking trail with benches, and drought-tolerant landscaping. The parking lot will also showcase an entry monument for the City and park.
