It’s amazing how perfect strangers can bring literal tears to our eyes, but it probably has to do with the fact that moments like this will never get old. Anytime a dog is rescued, hearts melt, and this was no different.
After a year of patiently waiting (and hoping) to be adopted, one happy pup recently found his forever home. As we see in this heartwarming video, the veterinary staff that cared for him sent him off in style and it’s so adorable. Take a look!
From fun kennel decorations to feasting like a king, Chesnut got to spend his last day at the Alicia Pet Care Center living lavishly, and we love to see it. Little did he know, this special day was the first day of the rest of his life!

It’s always emotional seeing dogs (or any animals, really) sleeping in kennels and living their lives in rescue centers, but the good thing is, most of these facilities are staffed with amazing individuals. These folks have the biggest hearts and do so much for these animals, and a lot of the time, it’s all done behind the scenes with no real credit. But hey, I see you! And I just want to say: you’re all superheroes in my eyes.
