3 Massive Homes Are About to Plunge Into the Ocean in Dana Point, California

After a barrage of torrential rainstorms last week, and with more storms coming up on the forecast, Southern California is in a precarious position. The intense amount of rainfall over a short period of time swamped the normally-dry region, leading to flash floods. The rainstorms were also accompanied by high winds and dangerously strong surf, and in many oceanfront areas, coastal erosion from the storms had disastrous consequences.

That brings us to Dana Point, California, an affluent beachside town in Orange County. After days of storms, part of a Dana Point cliff gave way in a landslide this weekend, leaving three large homes teetering on the edge, in danger of plunging down into the ocean!

According to Newsweek , the combined value of these three homes sits just shy of $43 million dollars- quite a lot of spondulix for properties on the verge of falling off a cliff. But are these luxury homes destined for doom? City officials think that they may have a little more time left before zero hour.
