Long Beach to Honor Dr. King with Grand Parade and Celebration Featuring Local Luminaries and Artists

Long Beach is gearing up for its annual commemoration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the 2025 parade and celebration, set for this Saturday. The event opens at 10 a.m. with a parade along Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, leading into an afternoon filled with arts and entertainment at the local park, according to the City of Long Beach’s announcement.

The parade features a mix of influential locals as grand marshals, such as community advocate Dale E. Clinton and philanthropists Samuel “Skip” and Beth Keesal.
