California colleges are leading the nation in long-term return on investment (ROI), according to research from Georgetown University’s Center on Education and the Workforce. The study, which analyzed 4,600 institutions, found that Harvey Mudd College in Claremont offers the highest 40-year net present value (NPV) at $4.51 million, according to the report.

Other top performers include the California Institute of Technology ($3.90 million), Stanford University ($3.87 million), Claremont McKenna College ($3.44 million), and Santa Clara University ($3.38 million). These colleges continue to provide significant financial benefits for graduates, despite high tuition costs.
