Mayor Larry Agran has joined mayors across the country for the National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation by asking the Irvine community to make a long-term commitment to manage water resources more wisely.
The annual challenge, which takes place April 1–30, is a nonprofit national community service campaign presented by the Wyland Foundation that encourages leaders to inspire their residents to make a series of simple pledges at mywaterpledge.com to use water more efficiently, reduce pollution, and save energy.
“I am proud to support the 2025 Wyland National Mayor’s Challenge for Water Conservation and invite all Irvine residents to join me in taking simple, meaningful steps to protect one of our planet’s most precious resources — water,” said Mayor Agran. “In Irvine, sustainability is not just a goal — it’s a way of life. Through responsible water use, pollution prevention, and community action, we can make a powerful impact that benefits our environment today and for generations to come. I encourage every household in Irvine to take the pledge this April and help us lead by example in showing how individual actions, when multiplied across our community, can create lasting change. Together, we can make Irvine — and our nation — more water-wise, resilient, and environmentally responsible.”…
