After a high-speed pursuit in Los Angeles County, a driver wanted for grand theft has been apprehended. KTLA reports that California Highway Patrol officers engaged in a chase Friday night involving a gray SUV that drove dangerously through traffic, took the wrong way at times, and sped along the 605 Freeway before exiting in Baldwin Park.
The pursuit, which saw the suspect driving on the wrong side of the road, came to a climax when the individual sought refuge inside a Kaiser Permanente parking structure at Bess Ave. and Judith St; authorities set up a perimeter, securing all exit and entry points until the arrest was made. Although the details on the conclusion of the chase were sparse initially, the suspect was soon taken into custody with FOX11 covering the pursuit as it unfolded and capturing footage of the arrest.
