The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose Monday for the second time in 28 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.456.
The average price began a seven-day streak of decreases May 20, rose one-tenth of a cent May 27, then dropped each of the next 17 days, until remaining unchanged Saturday, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It dropped two-tenths of a cent Sunday.
The average price is 5.5 cents less than one week ago, 24.2 cents lower than one month ago and 27 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.917 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022…
