This Saturday, Bean’s Beagles, an Orange County-based rescue organization, will host an adoption event in Huntington Beach, aiming to find forever homes for several rescued beagles.
Founded in 2017, Bean’s Beagles has cared for many dogs for months or even years. Dolores Ellis, president of Bean’s Beagles, emphasized the need for these dogs to find loving homes, stating, “Kennel life has been their thing because that’s all we could offer them at this point, but they need a home and they need human interaction.”
Among the dogs available for adoption are Dwayne, a four-year-old Beagle-bloodhound mix who loves walks but struggles with allergies, and Mocha, a two-year-old energetic tri-pawd beagle who has been with the organization the longest. Mocha lost her front left leg due to complications from a previous injury. Sole, a seven-year-old beagle with some neurological issues, is the newest addition to the rescue.
