Man steals skin grafts from SoCal hospitals, posing as employee

A San Jacinto man was arrested in connection with a series of high-value medical equipment thefts from hospitals in multiple Southern California cities, authorities announced Wednesday,

Investigators said that 47-year-old Jason Brauner dressed in blue scrubs and a surgical mask to access restricted hospital areas and stole more than $100,000 in surgical tools and skin grafts during three separate incidents in June and July. Hospitals in Rancho Mirage, Loma Linda and Newport Beach were targeted, according to authorities.
