On the tragic one year anniversary of an unsolved murder, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is pleading for the public’s help Monday in finding the killer of a 40-year-old woman gunned down in Lynwood last year.
The sheriff’s department homicide Lt. Steve De Jong and other officials will hold a press conference Monday morning to detail information regarding the fatal shooting of Irene Gonzalez exactly one year ago Monday.
Gonzalez was shot at around 1:55 a.m. in the 12500 block of Oak Street on Sept. 15, 2024, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Her body was discovered by deputies at around 5:40 a.m. lying on the sidewalk with a fatal gunshot wound to her upper body.
