The Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District in Orange County has hired its first woman as superintendent in its 151-year history.
Kym LeBlanc-Esparza will start next month, the Orange County Register reported. She is a deputy superintendent of Jeffco Public Schools in Colorado, the state’s second-largest district, with 74,000 students and more than 145 schools. She has also worked in Oregon during a 30-year career.
