PPD step up to Sergeant, Rafael Sanchez, born in sunny Orange, California, now tackles law enforcement challenges while juggling family life.

Sergeant Rafael Sanchez was born in 1989, in Orange, California, and later moved to Houston in 2001. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 2007 and began working for the City of Houston Legal Department right after graduation. In 2015, he got a job at the City of Houston Emergency Center, where he answered thousands of 911 calls and gained interest in a law enforcement career.

Sergeant Sanchez began his career with the Pasadena Police Department in 2018, when he was accepted into the 75th Pasadena Police Academy. Following his graduation, he was assigned to Evening Shift Patrol and then in 2019, he became one of our officer liaisons. While in that role, he attended HOA meetings within the community and helped to determine shared concerns and ways to address them.
