1 Killed in Claremont 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision on 10 Freeway

CLAREMONT, Calif., Nov. 9 (KNN) – A pickup truck and a sedan were involved in a traffic collision on the 10 Freeway, leaving one dead at the scene early Saturday morning.

California Highway Patrol officers from the Baldwin Park Area office and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision on the westbound 10 Freeway near Indian Hill Boulevard in Claremont around 3:18 a.m.

Upon arrival, units discovered a pickup truck that had collided with the rear of a Toyota. The Toyota sustained significant damage, and one individual was found trapped inside. Firefighters and paramedics pronounced one person deceased at the scene. It is currently unknown if anyone else was transported to a hospital.

CHP had issued a Sig Alert for three of the right lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway. Only the carpool and fast lanes remained open to traffic…
