AriZona buys California plant shuttered by troubled beverage company

An AriZona Beverages subsidiary has bought a beverage packing facility in Anaheim, California, in a move to re-establish production at a shuttered facility.

AriZona subsidiary Beverage Packers West bought the facility, plus equipment from Manna Beverages, for an undisclosed amount. The company said in a statement to Food Dive it is working closely with the city of Anaheim and California’s office of Business and Economic Development to evaluate next steps for the facility.

The Anaheim facility has the capacity to fill 1,150 bottles per minute, according to Harry Davis & Company, which brokered the deal. It additionally has the capacity for 10.9 million cases…
