Hit-and-run leaves pedestrian critically injured; police seek public’s help

A pedestrian was critically injured late Saturday night after being struck by a vehicle in a marked crosswalk in Fullerton, authorities said, as the driver fled the scene.

Officers were dispatched around 10:23 p.m. on Dec. 20 to the intersection of South Gilbert Street and Carol Drive after reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. When they arrived, they found an adult man lying in the roadway with severe head injuries.

The Fullerton Fire Department transported the man to a local trauma center, where he remains in critical condition. While the vehicle involved in the collision had already fled the scene…
