A man was arrested earlier this month after “an unprovoked and brutal attack between two homeless men” in Riverside resulted in another man’s death, police said.
The Nov. 28 attack occurred in the 5900 block of Magnolia Avenue, and though 33-year-old Richard Castaneda was initially in stable condition at a local hospital, he succumbed to his head wounds on Dec. 4, the Riverside Police Department said in a news release.
Detectives attributed Castaneda’s wounds to “an unprovoked and brutal attack between two homeless men” that resulted in ultimately fatal head trauma, and 23-year-old Ray Jai Watters was identified as the suspected attacker…
