Irvine, California—A Nevada woman has been arrested in Southern California after investigators linked her to a multi-state retail theft operation that allegedly targeted Ulta Beauty stores in California, Nevada, and Arizona, authorities confirmed.
The Irvine Police Department announced Saturday that 31-year-old Jasele Alicia Villanueva, of Las Vegas, was taken into custody in connection with the theft of more than $60,000 worth of merchandise from Ulta Beauty locations across the three states.
Multi-State Investigation Leads to Arrest
According to Irvine police, the investigation began after a pattern of thefts was identified at Ulta Beauty stores in Orange County. As detectives reviewed reports and surveillance footage, similarities emerged linking the incidents to thefts reported in neighboring states.
