Police in Irvine stopped a car without license plates near Michelson Drive and Norton Avenue on Thursday. The driver and passenger gave conflicting stories, prompting officers to search the vehicle.
Inside, officers found stolen packages, drugs, and a backpack containing a passport that did not belong to them. The backpack had been taken earlier from a parking garage.
