The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for Orange County Inland starting Monday morning through Friday evening. Temperatures are expected to reach up to 105 degrees inland and 85 to 90 degrees near the coast. A Heat Advisory also remains in effect until 8 PM PDT this evening.
This early and prolonged heat event increases the risk of heat illness, especially for vulnerable people and those without cooling systems. Residents are advised to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and avoid the sun during peak hours.
