It’s surprising how much trash a beach can accumulate in 24 hours.
On March 21, the Laguna Ocean Foundation (LOF) hosted 36 volunteers to clean up Aliso Beach, winding up with 28 pounds of refuse picked from the sand with foundation-supplied picker-uppers, gloves, and collapsible buckets. Ironically, those 28 pounds constituted only one day of beach littering.
