A stranded hiker was rescued from the Orange County backcountry earlier this week.
The Orange County Fire Authority posted video of the rescue mission on social media, explaining that one of their air units was dispatched to Black Star Canyon, located in eastern O.C., this past Tuesday for a stranded male hiker.
Crews, using a “hot seat” hoist technique, successfully extracted the man to safety. He was not injured, OCFA said.
