SMITH COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) – Law enforcement officials have managed to stop the driver of a stolen box truck on State Highway 31 west of Tyler after using spike strips. According to Smith County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Larry Christian, the chase came from Wood County and came down U.S. 69 into Smith County and onto Toll 49, where the spikes were deployed.
