Texas police officer left totally blind after witnessing fellow cop being ‘executed’ in targeted attack

A police officer from Texas was reportedly left blinded after a gunman shot at her face multiple times during an execution-style killing of another officer.

Dallas police Sr. Cpl. Karissa David, 27, was released on Thursday after her family revealed that she had undergone several months of outpatient care. David was severely injured last month when she was shot by 30-year-old Corey Cobb-Bey while in the parking lot of Oak Cliff Community Campus.

The corporal had been responding to a call after the Cobb-Bey had reportedly gunned down Officer Darron Burks while he sat in his car, according to the Dallas police .

Police said that a dispatcher had sent officers to the community center after they had received an “unusual transmission from Officer Burks’ radio” around 10pm. The first person who arrived on the scene was Sr. Cpl. Jamie Farmer, who reported that he had been met with immediate gunfire. According to Farmer, Cobb-Bey was armed with a 9mm handgun, a .22-caliber handgun and two shotguns.
